A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF RUSSELL, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE 1969 SUPPLEMENT TO KANSAS STATUTES ANNOTATED 12-110b INSOFAR AS SAID SECTION LIMITS THE INVESTMENT OF FUNDS CREATED PURSUANT THERETO.

Section 1. That the City of Russell, Kansas, a city of the second class, who and by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 129 Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas hereby elects to exempt itself and does hereby exempt itself from the provisions of section 12-110b of the 1969 Supplement to Kansas Statutes Annotated and makes said section inapplicable to it insofar as said section limits the investment of funds created pursuant thereto, said section not being applicable uniformly to all cities.

Section 2. That the funds created pursuant to said section may be invested by the City in Government Bonds and/or United States Treasury Bills and/or Notes, and time deposits in state banks.
