A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF RUSSELL, KANSAS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE 1977 SUPPLEMENT TO KANSAS STATUTES ANNOTATED 25-2108(a) SO AS TO ELIMINATE THE NECESSITY OF A CITY PRIMARY ELECTION.

Section 1. That the City of Russell, Kansas, a city of the second class, who and by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself and does hereby exempt itself from the provisions of section 25-2198(a) of the 1977 Supplement to Kansas Statutes Annotated and makes said section inapplicable to it insofar as said section pertains to the primary election of city officials.
